I, like so many others, found this blog because I googled "I hate Brett Favre". I don't claim to be an expert, in fact I've only been actively following this great sport for a few years. Despite my general lack of knowledge I can see that Brett Favre is the biggest douche in professional football aside from Michael Vick. And that's saying something.

I also googled I hate Brett Favre. Look what website I found. He's an attention-hogging prick. Shame on ESPN for covering this bull so heavily during a pennant race. The last guys in the world who needs attention is a 39 year old QB who choked away a season a year ago. He'll have another awful year and that is a very safe assumption. God I hate Brett Favre.

Oh come on! He's not a tough QB. Most NFL QB's are tough. (Excluding Kim Everett and Brad Johnson of course.) Favre was just lucky. Lucky enough not to substain a serious injury for so many years.

Are you telling me that Rich Gannon was a wimp because he stopped playing after a 350 pound guard almost crushed his head? That Joe Thiesmann was a wimp because he didn't come back after Lawrence Taylor snapped his led in two?
Brett Favre's streak of playing is pure and simple LUCK. Many, many NFL QB's played with bad injuries. Hell, Joe Mantana, who's about half the size of Favre played with Broken ribs. Warren Moon was crippled half of his career. And how about Joe Namath? The man played his last few games in incredible pain, because his knees were bone on bone!
Not taking away from Favre, but if he suffered ANY of the injuries aforementioned, he would have missed games. And like I've said before, if you don't agree, you're a die-hard Brett Favre lover who will never see him for what he is....
An old man that needs to retire, and stop thinking that were all counting the seconds until he comes back. I am sick do death of his self-created soap opera. Seems like he's following the advice of his delusional publicist who has convinced him that the world just can't live unless the name BRETT FAVRE is in the news every day.

First of all, don't call other people "dumb" when you are unable to structure a sentence properly. Ever hear of a capital letter? A period? The difference between a sentence and an incomplete setence?

Here's your answer:
Brett Favre was surrounded, suring the better part of his career with talent. With good defensive teams and runningbacks. You see, you shouldn't look at the amount of seasons, you should look at the balance of the team they were on.
Dan Marino never had a defense in his career. So, his offense was forced to play most of the game without rest. That's why you saw Marino's stats look like; 30-46 345 yards 3 t.d.'s. I know you think it should benefit a QB to be able to throw that much in a game, but what you are not realizing is:

*RUNNING GAME. Marino never had a running game. So other teams could t-off at him. Luckily, Marino had the fastest release in league history, which is what saved him from being slaughtered. / Favre usually had a great running game, allowing him to keep the defenses from killing him.

*DEFENSE. Marino never had a defense. Favre was bleassed with great defenses most of his career.

*TIGHT END. Marino never had the great tight end. Also known as the "the third option." Name how many great tight ends Marino played with. Now name how many great tight ends Favre played with.

*TEAM. Brett Favre played with much, much better teams than Marino ever did.

Look what happened to Elway when the Broncos finally gave him a DEFENSE, a T.E. (Shannon Sharpe) and a RUNNING BACK (Terrell Davis).

If Dan Marino or John Elway got to play on the Packers in the 90's, each of them would have won AT LEAST 2 Super Bowls, if not 3 or 4.

To prove my point: Brett Favre lead the heavily favored Green Bay Packers into the Super Bowl against the Broncos and Elway. The Broncos were not as strong as the Packers, but Elway, BEING A BETTER QB than Favre, finally had a defense, tight end and RB. And they WON.
If that doesn't explain it for you, then you are just a die-hard Favre fan, and NOTHING will prove to you that Favre is maybe the 10th best QB ever.... And that's it.

Oh....shut...up.. I've never cared about Brett Farve on way of the other. When he was riduculed in Atlanta, I didn't care. When he was decreed a God in Green Bay, I didn't care. BUT NOW, I am sick and tired of hearing about whether or not he's going to come back another year, after "retiring" AGAIN.

And I agree with "ThatKid".
Brett Farve is NOWHERE NEAR one of the best QB'S in the history of the NFL....he's only played more games.
Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, Joe Montana, Steve Young, John Elway, WERE ALL much better QB'S than Brett Farve.
That aside, I'm tired of his soap-opera going on two years now. Will he come back? Will he retire? WHO CARES!!!!
It is obvious to me that Brett, the genius he is, bought into the notion that he is God's gift to the world and the NFL years ago. Right now, I bet he has no idea that there are people out there (in the real world) who don't give a shit what he does......but just want him to go away!
Brett, you had a great career. Good for you. Let it go. Stop asking your kids what you should do with your life. You see, real grown-ups, in the real world, don't ask their children for advice. They make the touch choices on there own. So stop listening to your kids and listen to me. GO AWAY. I'M SICK AND TIRED OF HAVING TO HEAR ABOUT YOU EACH NIGHT ON SPORTS CENTER. And Brett, even if you did join the Vikings and got to hand the ball off to "the best runningback in the league" it wouldn't matter. You're going to fall flat on your face by week seven.
Hey, I changed my mind. I now want to see Brett come back....so I can see him fall flat on him face by week seven!

Brett Farve is everything wrong with pro athletes. He thinks he is bigger than the team and can dictate his oepn agenda. He retire, splashes, news stories with a come back. Ohh wow, I care about a dude who won one superbowl. yYes, he won 3 MVP's and is an iron man, but longevity doesn't mean greatness or Warren Moon would be a top 3 QB.

Farve was Blessed with great WR and RB. If Farve wasn't in Something about Mary he would not be as famous. People likr to say Brett Farrr - er - auuhh. And he is an icon. Unreal.

Good but not iconic. Bart Star was more prolific. Farve is second best QB is Green Bay History.

Secreast Out,
